Do you believe that every child deserves a family and a loving home where they can grow and thrive?
On average, nine Larimer County youth enter foster care each month. Some of these children need to be placed in foster homes outside of their home neighborhoods or in restrictive environments due to a lack of available homes in our county. We need caring families and individuals to make a difference for kids in Larimer County who need stability, guidance, and community – things that foster families can provide with training and support.
If you believe that youth in foster care should have access to community-based care, then now is the time to act. A recent shift in federal child welfare policy will soon decrease the amount of youth that are placed in group homes or other institutional settings, causing the need for quality foster homes in each community to increase rapidly.
