FosterMore is proud to partner with StoryCorps, a national project whose mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world. They do this to remind us of our shared humanity, to strengthen and build connections between people, to teach the value of listening, and to weave into the fabric of our culture the understanding that everyone’s story matters. With the help of StoryCorps, we will be featuring different foster care related stories on our blog from people who have shared their experience with the world.
David Ambroz and his sister, Jessica Ambroz, talk about growing up in foster care and the difficulties of foster kids getting an education. David is now Director of Corporate Citizenship and Social Responsibility for Disney/ABC TV Group, and Jessica is a social worker. Both are huge advocates for foster youth. Listen to their story here:
