What Is The Hollywood Rush?

The Hollywood Rush is an exhilarating night of theater unlike anything else in Los Angeles. In less than a day, celebrities come together to write, direct, and act in five to six original one-act plays, all benefiting FosterMore.

The format is fast-paced, unpredictable, and electric. With no time to spare, the audience cheers on every surprise that unfolds on stage.

Produced by NightKAP Entertainment, Zibby Allen, Kate DiRienzo-Payne, and Jason Daley Kennedy.

How It Works

  1. Friday

Talent gathers for a brief kickoff. Writers receive themes inspired by FosterMore and assigned by the Hollywood Rush producers, then head into an overnight creative sprint — crafting original one-act plays before sunrise. Directors and actors break for the night.

  2. Saturday Morning

Writers meet with their directors to review and refine the scripts. Shortly after, actors arrive,  and rehearsals begin.

  3. Saturday All-Day

Each cast works intensively throughout the day, rehearsing, refining, and doing what thespians do best. In the late afternoon, rehearsals pause as actors transition to hair, makeup, and red-carpet prep.

  4. Saturday Evening – Showtime

As the curtain rises, the audience experiences the result of just ONE DAY of collaboration — a night fueled by creativity, surprise, and extraordinary energy.
